Welcome!

The Harman Family Foundation supports programs that bring education and the arts to underserved populations in Washington D.C., New York, Boston, and Los Angeles. Through grants both big and small (big = the new Harman Center for the Arts; small = grassroots nonprofits in the metropolitan Washington region and elsewhere) the Foundation supports educational innovation and seeks to strengthen the arts community, and strengthen the community itself through the arts. The Foundation also supports the promotion of philanthropy, through projects like the Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington and related activities that educate donors, build the capacity of small nonprofits, and encourage charitable enterprise.
